She has led and supported large-scale state and national initiatives across academic, clinical, and public sector settings, including serving as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, and senior advisor on federally and privately funded research and capacity-building efforts totaling tens of millions of dollars. Her experience spans the full lifecycle of complex initiatives, from design and strategy through implementation, learning, and accountability. Prior to founding Broader Impact, Dr. Tenorio served as a faculty member and as Director of the Pilot Translational and Clinical Studies Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In these roles, she strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration, expanded support across the translational continuum, and advanced team-based approaches to scientific and clinical innovation. In addition to her leadership work, Dr. Tenorio is a national speaker and educator on topics including applied social science, team science, community-engaged research, cultural humility in healthcare, and culturally responsive approaches to learning and decision-making.
